Excellent usability. Portals are easy for users to build and use thanks to the incorporation of AJAX, Drag and Drop and other WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) technologies. Any modification made by a user can be viewed in real time. Web Content Management (WCM).
Simple configuration of the functional modules via property forms.

Content management, with approval workflows

The suite allows you to publish, view and manage different types of multi-language and multimedia content:

Structured content modelled with Polymita Content Studio® and presented using forms or presentation templates. This type of content is stored in a repository in a database and can be presented in various views.
Unstructured web content, created using the flexible online HTML editor, easy to use for non-technical users.
Documents and files, which are stored in the document repository with versioning.
Simple forms enable non-technical users to easily publish and administer all of these types of content online.

They can also be modified from a private administration area or in situ from the same page where they are published, which facilitates all maintenance tasks for large web sites.

Each type of content can be associated with an approval workflow so that the review and publication of content can be delegated to any other user or group of users.

All of these may be categorized automatically, according to the configuration of the viewing module, to be published on different pages and portals.

All the information published will be automatically indexed and accessible through the integrated search.

Content, forms and templates Modeller

Allows the content and business objects structure modeling (e.g. Notices, invoices, contact information, etc), defining of multiple forms for each type and description of how they are to be visualized in the portals or processes.

Polymita Content Studio, the innovative modeller of content (for example news, data on an incident, orders, etc.) and forms online, allows a non-technical user to describe the structure of the data and the forms necessary to present and collect information from the portal users.

These contents and objects may be used directly by the different portal modules, without the need for any further development, which results in great agility and speed when starting up new services.

The structured information is stored in a document repository in a database, making it easy to use the data and guaranteeing performance and reliability.
Multiple forms or read-only views can be described for each content, thus facilitating customization of the view by the role or type of user connected.
All kinds of relationships between the content can be modelled, presenting them, for example, as subforms. This hugely favours reuse and maintenance, making it possible to construct objects from other objects.
Complete multi-language support. The forms can accept and treat data, labels and descriptions transparently in various languages.
Allows connections to external databases, thus permitting the use of pre-existing data.
Complete integration with the document repository, which makes it possible to upload and download documents from the forms, saving and indexing the information automatically for future searches within the document repository.
The forms generated are rich, automatically using AJAX for validations and formulas on the server.
Permits the creation of new controls via Java programming, for example to integrate with an external system such as Google Maps and use it from the forms.

Document repository with versioning

Polymita has a document repository with a 100% online web interface, based completely in AJAX. Its most important characteristics are:

Complete management of a document life cycle: creation, revision, approval, publication, search, expiration.
The documents that form part of any content or file may be pulled up from web interface.
Automatic as well as manual definition of document publication and expiration dates
Version control system.
Assignment of permission to users, roles and groups, for a document or file, for reading, writing, revision and approval.
Ability to reference a document with a single URL in order to permit its link from any portal.
The documents may follow an approval circuit for their creation, writing, revision and approval.
Definition support for metadata associated with the documents.
The content of the documents is automatically indexed so that it can be searched from any page of the portals.

Search engine

The platform incorporates an integrated content search that can search within content and documents and present them to the user, depending on the user's permissions and access level, guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of the information.

All content entered, whether by forms or attached documents, is automatically indexed so that it can be searched immediately from the different portal pages. Additionally, in order to improve the quality of the search results, it recognizes plurals, gender, verb tenses and root words.

Library of portal modules

Polymita has a collection of modules ready to be used that permit, using Drag and Drop and configuration by forms, customization of all the necessary functionalities. All of these have been developed under the same platform, using AJAX and emphasizing the usability of the final result.

The characteristics of search, navigation, content publication and management, generation of the site map, collaboration and access to external resources can be easily added without having to develop.

This collection is supplemented by multiple existing complements that provide, for example, integration with Microsoft Outlook or with Google Maps, to enter and view data on one map within the portals.
